Keep Your Body to Yourself!
KEEP YOURSELF TO YOURSELF!
A day doesn't pass without seeing some kind of news about lewd texting or pictures between people that shouldn't be sending them. We have all seen the warnings, telling us that it is never a good idea to send revealing or compromising pictures to others. You never know who they may show or where they may end up. So whats the news? Do not send naughty photos right?
Well its not that easy- technology and the knowledge to use it has gotten better and much easier in their own right. People are now able to access your photo library without your knowledge. They can hack into and view your webcam without you knowing. They can use phishing links to steal your login information and access your private information.
We must rethink how and where we do things as a society. Should we take any kind of compromising photos at all- even if we dont send them to anyone? Can we store private information on devices and computers that are connected to the internet?
This isn't completely new however. Look at 2014 for example, when a hack known grossly as "the fappening) took place. A hacker by the name of Ryan Collins was able to steal many nude photos from Apple's server and post them online. Victims include Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kaley Couco, and Kirsten Dunst just to name a few.

Another reason to rethink your habits in front of the camera is the trouble it could bring you. Lets take a quick laughable look at Congressman Anthony Weiner. This guy just cant learn his lesson, even the hard way. In 2011 he admitted to "sexting" with multiple women over the previous few years. He resigned from congress, but was again caught in 2013. Amazingly, he was caught and charged again in 2017, receiving a jail sentence of almost 2 years for his behavior.
The ONLY way you can assure your personal photos are safe is not only to refrain from sharing them, but to not store them on your phone at all. It is quite amazing that people engage in this activity so readily, and even more so that you can apparently be habitually hooked on it!
